Getting listings onto Rightmove and Zoopla without double data entry

Ask most agents where their time actually goes and "re-typing the same information twice" doesn't come up as an answer, but it happens constantly. A property gets added properly in the CRM: description, price, bedrooms, photos, floorplan. Then, separately, someone logs into a portal's own upload tool and re-enters most of the same information again, because the CRM and the portal were never actually talking to each other.
This isn't just slower than it needs to be. It's a genuine source of errors. A price change made in the CRM but not mirrored on the portal listing. A photo order that matches in one place and not the other. A status that says "under offer" internally while the portal still shows it as available, generating enquiries on a property that's no longer up for grabs. Every one of those is an avoidable mistake that shows up as a confused buyer call or an annoyed vendor.
“An agent updates a property once, in one place, and it's correct everywhere it needs to be.”
The fix is a direct feed between the CRM and the portal, so a property only ever gets entered once. Rightmove's Real Time Datafeed API is the standard route for this: properties published from your CRM push straight through to your live Rightmove listing, and updates (price changes, status changes, new photos) sync the same way without anyone touching the portal's own interface. Viewing requests and other enquiries that come in through Rightmove flow back the other direction too, landing as leads directly against the right property and the right contact in your CRM, rather than arriving as an email that someone then has to manually match up and re-key.
Getting this set up isn't instant. It goes through Rightmove's own provider onboarding process, including certification testing before you get live credentials, but once it's live, the day-to-day effect is straightforward: an agent updates a property once, in one place, and it's correct everywhere it needs to be. That's a small thing described in a sentence and a genuinely large thing in practice, multiplied across every listing, every price change and every status update an agency handles in a year.
If you're evaluating CRM software partly on this basis, it's worth asking directly whether portal publishing and lead ingestion are a real, built-in integration or something bolted on as a manual export/import. The difference shows up immediately the first time a price changes on a Friday afternoon.
